For All Mankind, it said.

Why? Why must the world die for it to be reborn?

Why must death and fear bring the strongest love?

The people, the thousands praying before mosques, the Jewish procession in the church, the familes holding each other, the world uniting as one ..... why does it seem so far away?

The old man telling stories to the children in the street ....

For All Mankind ... Why must we be threatened with extinction in order to unite? Why does it have to be the last resort to unite?

Why can't it be for all mankind in the first place?

Fudge!

Hmm. Orange Creamsicle fudge is actually quite good. And Jiggy's mom bought me a strawberry daquiri. Slurpee, I mean. Good stuff.

If I had more money, and if I didn't have a nasty headache, this day would've gone pretty good. I had to drag myself out of bed (again) to head down to the trade show. I considered myself lucky, because I didn't have to work parking again and could be inside all day. Or so I thought. At about one thirty, I was called outside to help with parking again. Plus, they sent me to the far end of the exhibition grounds, which is pointless because there's always a lot of room there and no one really needs any direction. Ashley and I spent the last forty minutes of our shift sitting on our butts singing Disney songs (and three versions of 'American Pie', at the _same time_) as people started to leave.

I was also unsuccessful in attempting to barter down the price of a ring with a vendor. I need to brush up on either my assertiveness or my puppydog eyes.

And there was a _fountain_ of free chocolate. I kid you not. A multi-tiered fountain of liquid chocolate that was part of display for either a catering busines or a hotel chain (not sure). They would dip strawberries into the fountain and hand them out to visitors. And they switched supervisors fairly often, so I came back for thirds.

And I got to see Ashley, Ashley, Simon, Brendan, Amy, Jiggy, Mike, and Jesse (oops, sorry!). I mean _Mike-bot_ and _RoboWerner_. They were advertising for interPlay. Don't ask.

I really wish I had more money on hand then. I would've got another henna tattoo. I found the perfect Oriental/Tribal dragon design that would look great with the kanji for kouryou. And it would've probably lasted until Grad, too. Dang.

But there was some shopping. And much fudge sample. And what's this in my pocket? A chocolate mint that I forgot about! Joy!

And dang! My mom's computer has a good soundsystem. Compared to my little clock-radio-CDplayer thing upstairs. It works really good, but the speaker is smaller than my fist.
