I just came from the last band concert of my high school year. I must say, life won't be the same without it. It's odd though, in the three years that I've known the director, I've never seen him get emotional. *sigh* Yes, he does snap and spaz when we don't shut up, but that's not the kind of emotion I mean.

He was in near tears the entire time he was reading out the awards with the choir director. Well, they weren't exactly awards. They were the music award pins, which every Grad got. Some of the things he said, and he said a specific blurb to every member of the band, were just ... stunning. Some things had to be mentioned, like idiosyncracies that make the band a whole. But other things, like what he thought of us, some of the compliments, it just floored me. I had to give him a hug.

I'm tired, but my mind is far too awake. I have to do some more writing. It's a flaw. I'm never quite satisfied with some things until I rewrite them a half-dozen times over, and then I move on to the next paragraph. I feel like I should be artistic, but I've had quite the bitch of artist's block lately. Perhaps I'm writing too much.

*shrug* Can't be helped. I like to be impulsive.
