... and no place to go.

I was going to go see Red Dragon with Janine today. I wanted to see Red Dragon with Janine today.
But no, we had to leave the theatre and wait for another day.
Why, you ask?

Because the ticket-bitch said that 'no one under eighteen was allowed and her manager would get really mad if she let anyone in'.
We probably would've been allowed in if the ticket-bitch hadn't known Janine from school. She looked younger than my teenage brother, for Hell's sake, and she had the balls to try and tell us what we could and could not watch. I've watched rated-R movies since I could remember, but no ... my lisence says that I'm not 'mature' enough to see a movie with 'disturbing content'.

Step inside my mind and I'll show you disturbing content, you closed-minded philistine.

Being underage fucking sucks!!

Technically, I'm not allowed to go see Red Dragon.
I can't buy alcohol.
I can't go to any of the college keggers.
I can't go to any of the college comedy nights.
I can't go to karaoke nights at Sidelines.
I not supposed to go to sex stores, but they haven't caught me yet. In fact, there's no age restriction at LoveMates Etc. in the mall. All it requires, according to the sign on the window, is an open mind.

I have a very open mind. That's how it got so dirty. I mean that. Try me. I dare you.

Maturity should not be based on a birthdate. I know adults that are worse than a few old classmates in grade nine, and some of my friends are more open-minded than supposedly 'mature' adults. Age does not equal wisdom. Only experience can come close.

No wonder out society is so fucked.
