So.

I went through four kinds of entertainment today ... five, if you count the sleeping in in the morning. Trust me ... after a week of solid nine hour days painting houses, not only am I in serious need of a tiger balm massage, I fell asleep on the couch last night while Laura and Dave were over (supposed to be roleplaying, but it never passed). I was very very beat. I predict a summer of getting very brown on the back of my neck and getting a hellovalot more bruises on my shin from moving ladders.

Entertainment number two was RPing a truly amusing scene early this afternoon. Truly funny. I did have a hankering to see what it would be like to RP a very pissy fistfight, but I was denied for sake of sanity. Le sigh.

Entertainment number three was helping Juli sort through a mountain of LPs and 45s that were 'pawned off' on us by her parents. Seriously, going through those stacks made me go utterly 'squee' ... earning several odd looks and mild insults from Juli, of course. I mean, Pink Floyd's Animals? Best of Moody Blues? Supertramp's Crime of the Century? Breakfast in America? Fleetwood Mac's Rumors?

Gold, I tell you. Gold!

Four was going to see Shrek 2 with James. Of course, there was the prelude of window shopping in Chinook and waiting for James to meet me there. Learned a few things.
1. You know you're kinky when LaSenza just isn't doing it for you any more.
2. I need to go clothing shopping more often. At Value Villiage, I predict. Again.
3. *writes down Pink Floyd's Pulse on CDs To Get list*
Watched some kids play DDR and sketched N'Tesh, whom has been very dormant for quite a while. Listened to a lot of CellDweller, getting very vibrant mental images of Mattheo on the drums with every track. Got a new idea for a series of character portraits.
And then, after a bit of a sucky preview for Spider-Man 2, there was Shrek 2. I swear, I was laughing my sides sore within the first two minutes. Utterly hilarious, and just as brimming with innuendoes as the first. LotR refs. Alien refs. From Here to Eternity refs. There was even an Antonio Banderas gay porn reference ... or was that just me?

Entertainment number five wasn't really entertainment, per se. Flames, I shall cheer for you as heartily as anyone else, but I really hate taking the train home when some passengers are so raucously drunk that I can smell the beer from outside the train. Really. We amused ourselves by utterly ignoring the guys doing flips while hilding onto the balance beams and starting chants of 'Go Flames Go', listening to our discmans as loud as possible and exchanging meaningful glances in character. Dude, the game's been over for three hours. Yes, we won, but we don't have the cup yet, and you're screaming our victory three feet from my ear. Either go puke outside or know your limit next time you play Hockey Shots. If we do win the cup, I'm staying as far away from any public transportation as possible, not to mention the Red Mile. It's like Canadian Marti-Gras meets Spring Break ... with hockey jerseys. Yay, but go away.

And now, I can hope for some more Chaos Ink before bed. I want to go back to writing_days, just to see if I can get a little more discipline in my life, but I'll sleep on it. Hah.

And on an utterly random note, today I found out that a company is offering a $500 scholarship on the criteria of writing a song (not a parody) about duct tape.

Duct. Tape.

And on another random note, I want to be a fanstasy/erotic artist. Really. *looks forward to Erotic Arts summer class*

Edited to Add: Updated my info. I am such a geek.

I can see a frozen point in time
That is easy to retrace
Light and darkness are both intertwined
The elements are in their place with

One motion of her wanting mind
The real world begins to fade
And all the hateful things I have become
Temporarily go away

Inside this fantasy
It seems so real to me
Synthetic ecstasy, when her legs are open
True Love behind a wall
Where men and angels fall
A fading memory, when my mind is frozen

Mattheo, you are messed up. And I love you for it, you psychotic elf.

Now stand still so I can draw you playing the drums.
