Your first year of college is gonna be one you remember for basically ever. A lot of the stuff you're saying does have to do with growing up. It's a sign that that whole horseshit class system of high school is destroyed in favour of genuine personal communication on a basis of similar interest - really just progression.
Don't fear it, if you can help it. You'll find a surprising place for you there, I can imagine. Love it while ya can, hey? It's so much better than high school.
