Dark One

A demon in the darkness
A shadow within shade
The predator, the animal, the wraith
A stealthy echo's silence
A whisper of a blade
The deadly waltz of hunter and of prey
A voice of promised thunder
A gaze of burning ice
The searing heat of breath upon your skin
A trespass unforgiven
A sacrificial price
The delicious thrill of fear that coils within
A speed that meets the cobra
A panther's lethal grace
The strength of liquid metal fused to bone
A laugh that mocks the devil
A mask upon a face
The dream, the nightmare forged in onyx stone
A shiv of steel unyielding
A rage no bonds could chain
The infinite and absolute control
A black-winged angel fallen
A hunger unsustained
The shadow guardian of a human soul
